Hackathon Challenges
Challenge 1 - Warehouse
Operations at a main hub are fully controlled by the airline, however when operating at outstations this is handled by ground handling agents. These subcontractors don’t always have access to the same systems to share information. This leads to inaccurate inventory location & information, wrong position of the cargo, lack of handling information/shipment condition, inefficient space utilization or storage and (truck) dock management. These are just a few of the issues commonly found in warehouses these days.
Using ONE Record API create a new truck dock/warehouse booking/visual mapping tool that addresses or improves the visibility in at least one of the issues above and demonstrate the sharing between two parties. This can be enhanced using IoT tracking devices/generator.

Challenge 2 - Security & Customs
International freight crosses many borders, and this brings in a security and customs challenge. Can we be sure about the origin of the freight and parties involved in its origin and generations? Is the freight correctly identified and described? Does the freight need special assessment? What if we scale up number of items by a million, as does the current e-commerce growth? Many states are introducing new reporting requirements, such as the ICS2 (EU/UK) but also the work done by the US DHS on identity and verification with DIDs and VCs.
How can we integrate these developments with the ONE Record data sharing concepts to enhance visibility, transparency of data, but also security and identity? What creative solutions can we build around this?

Challenge 3 - PayCargo Challenge
Design a payment focused solution that considers the ideas of reinventing the traditional quote, book, invoice and pay end-to-end cycle and considered intermediate service milestones? How about disruption/irregular operations and claims at out stations? The focus should be on payments (settlement) within warehouse/truck dock operations.
Use available APIs of your choice or simulate some of the processes and use ONE Record standard as an innovation platform. Consider the stakeholders in the process and their need for a user centric role in the process
